I'm a Carioca - native and resident of Rio de Janeiro. My 14-year-old daughter is a genius ("Isn't everybody's?", you ask, but no, not really).
I used to be a doctoral student of History and Philosophy of Biology, but I gave that up because what I really like is General Stuffology. So yes. That's what I do now. And technical translation is what pays the bills.
